Tango Sites in Queensland.

Tangonut Events. Want to know what and where tango is on in Queensland and Nth NSW? This site features an up-to-date calender of events including regular milongas, classes, visiting teachers and festivals. "Tangonut Events" is also responsible for organizing the Byron Bay Tango Festival and Valentine Festival (held in Brisbane), as well as a regular Sunday afternoon "Tangonut Milonga". It is the home of the weekly newsletter TangoNut News- established in 1998. Check it out!

Street Tango. Byron Bay's very own tango school! Run by local colourful lass ( yes, she's Scottish), dancer and teacher - Ange: 02 6684 5297; Mob: 0427 845 297. And if you happen to be in Byron on the 2nd 4th and 5th Sunday of each month, join in Byron's delightful informal afternoon milonga, currently organized by Jan Rae, whose artwork is featured in this website.

Tango Paradiso Orchestra. Based in Brisbane, this orchestra is represented by a group of fine musicians and respected exponents of Argentine Tango. Moshlo and Carla, leaders of the orchestra are also loved and admired for their tango dancing and their support for all things tango in Brisbane and Byron Bay. I highly recommend their first CD.

Tango Sites in other states of Australia.

Sydney Tango. A website with all current tango events in Sydney. Not affiliated with any tango school. A great site for visitors to Sydney.

Tango Australia. Based in Sydney, this website is fast becoming a source of information - as well as a forum- for tango events throughout OZ. Highly recommended.

Tango Info (Melbourne). Should be your first stop for tango in Melbourne. A non-aligned site that advertises everyone and everything tango in this great city.

Sidewalk Tango. An interesting and informative site featuring the activities of my good mates David and Dianne, the directors of this Melbourne tango school. However it is also the home of Melbourne Tango Club and features a comprehensive calender of tango in Melbourne.

Jedi Tango. A website hosted by high-energy personalities and tangueros Damian and Callum. Based in Melbourne, it specializes in bringing to OZ the best International teachers and performers.
